Aaron Hernandez practiced this week and looked poised for a return against the Bills, but may have had a setback to his troublesome ankle. He is looking doubtful to play this Sunday according to Adam Shefter.
Shefter Tweeted: Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez is not expected to play Sunday vs. Buffalo due to lingering ankle injury. Pats activated TE Visanthe Shiancoe.
With Owen Daniels possible on the shelf as well, the TE talent pool is dwindling this week. This should be a lesson in regards to these high ankle sprains and the severity of the sprain itself. They are lingering injuries that affect each individual player differently.
