Alfred Morris did rush for 1,600 yards and 13 TDs, but PPR leaguers want more receptions than the 7 he produced last season. Morris only caught 30 passes in college, but it’s not like college RBs are used much in the passing game. All indications are that Morris CAN catch and CAN run routes, so hopefully he will be utilized more this season. Here is what the talented runner had to say on the subject:
“The more you can do, the better your chances are to actually be able to help your team,” Morris said via the Redskins’ official website. “Last year, why I only got like seven catches, I have no clue.
“I’ve definitely been working a lot this offseason, just building trust with the quarterbacks and coaches just to let them know, ‘Hey, I can catch’. So I’ve been very good this offseason — OTAs, minicamp, I did well. Hopefully during camp I can just continue to build off that, and hopefully it will translate on game day.”
