Pierre Garcon had a monster first quarter week one and has been MIA since then. RG3 and Garcon had instant chemistry this Summer and it translated onto the field. Too bad a foot injury has sidelined him ever since. Here is the latest update:
Garcon said: “I’m going to try to (practice) after the bye and see how I feel, but I need to get as much pain out of it as I can. It’s getting better. I’m trying to put more force on it. Walking around every day, I’ve got orthotics in my shoes. It’s still not where it needs to be. We’re trying to avoid (ending the season) at all possible costs, but at some time, you’ve got to be realistic and just gotta have (the surgery).”
The Redskins spent a ton of loot on Garcon to be a go-to guy this season, but this lingering foot issue may cause him to miss the rest of the season. RG3′s yards per pass have decreases as his weapons disappear. Early on they were taking shots down field regularly, but have turned into more of a short pass attack, hurting Griffin’s fantasy value.
