Captain Hindsight to the Rescue Week 7

Week 7 was an adventure like this whole season has been.  Predicting this sh*t is getting harder and harder, each and every week.  Let’s look at some situations form today and see if we can make sense of any of it.

Roy Helu

Helu scores 3 TDs and Morris owners step towards the cliff.  Shanny and Son strike again.  The fact of the matter is, Helu is the 3rd down guy and hurry up guy, and the Redskins are going to be in shootouts.  He has good match ups coming up and could be used as a flex in the right matchups.

Reggie Wayne

Wayne was off to a solid, yet unspectacular season, but a non-contact injury might put him out for the season.  We might be forced to see more Stone Hands DHB and the inconsistent TY Hilton.  Not good for all parties involved.  Hoping for the best for one of the best pros out there.

Sam Bradford

Sammy has a torn ACL and is out for the season.  This hurts the entire offense.  We may see more and more Zac Stacy, but who knows if he will be able to get it done.  He did finish with 87 total yards and a TD today, but Sea is on the horizon.

Jacquizz Rodgers

The guy just keeps getting it done.  Tough matchups aside, Rodgers has scored 2 TDs a game for three straight games.  Whether it’s on the ground or through the air, Rodgers continues to be a huge fantasy surprise.  Steven Jackson is a walking infirmary and we might see more and more Rodgers.

Terrance Williams

Williams has easily out played Miles Austin who is donesky.  Williams will constantly see single coverage and has been exposing it with a TD per week in the last 3 weeks.  Keep starting him with confidence.

Jordan Reed

I have been pumping up Reed for weeks and he finally came through with a huge game today.  9/134/1 will get the job done.  Love him going forward with RG3 improving and the Redskins D not.

Chris Ivory

Ivory went from having 34 carries all season, to having 34 carries in one game.  Thought he could be a sleeper, then hammy issues pushed him to the Waiver Wire, and now he should be picked up again.  Will the Jets continue to ride him or will they go back to Powell?  They paid him for a reason.

The Gronk

Gronk retuned and Brady needed him badly.  Crazy that Brady still couldn’t throw a TD today, but Gronk did lose one in the Sun that could of been an easy 6.  17 targets in his first game back with 8/117.  It’s only going to get better from here.

Harry Douglas

The Bucs are quite possibly the worst coached team, ever.  They pay Revis $20 million a year and then play zone defense.  It’s really worth a LOL.  Douglas and Ryan creamed their zone for 7/149/1.  Probably will be his best game of the season.

Vincent Jackson

Dude got 22 targets today.  22!  Mike Glennon likes him, a lot.  Jackson has 4 TDs in the last 2 weeks and is a must start very week.

Doug Martin

Dougie got banged up and we never saw him again.  His shoulder has exactly 3 days to get better.  We may see some Mike James this week and he flashed a bit here and there today, so if you are desperate.

Jarrett Boykin

Well, if he left on Waiver Wire last week, I can guarantee he won’t be there after this week.  10 targets turned into 8/103/1.  He has Aaron Rodgers throwing to him and he’s getting targets (maybe more with Jermichael hurt too), so get Boykin already.

CJ Spiller

Spiller is just about dead to me.  1 point in standard leagues today.  He’s not healthy and he’s not getting it done either.  With matchups not looking good over the next month, I can’t tell anyone they need to start CJ with any sort of confidence.
