Chris Cooley may not be with the Redskins player anymore, but even when he was with the team he had no idea who the starting RB was week to week. One week just like all of us, he fully expected Ryan Torain to be the starter. He even put him in his fantasy starting lineup.
“I walked up to (Ryan) Torain in the locker room and said, ‘Dude, you’re starting on my fantasy team this week. And I’m hoping for a big week. I’m playing my wife,” Cooley said.
Cooley said Ryan Torain replied:
“And he’s like, ‘Oh, cool man. Yeah, I’ll see what I can do.”
That same week, Roy Helu went for 141 yards on 24 touches. So even those closest to the team have no idea what’s going on inside that maniacs head.
“I’m in the locker room and I don’t know who’s starting,” Cooley said. “So, it’s kind of a mixup and I’m not exactly sure what we’re doing or who’s going in.”
I know the guy who does end up being the starter for the Redskins will have value. The problem is, Shanny and Son think they have 3 guys who could be ‘the guy’. This will be a nightmare all season.
