Bryce Brown has not had the best training camp. He has been bouncing runs to the outside and dropping passes. It may have opened the door for another RB to take his spot. That guy could be Chris Polk.
“Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network made the observation after watching practice that Chris Polk could be ahead of Brown and be the No. 2 running back behind LeSean McCoy. It’s not as crazy as it sounds. Polk has had a great camp and is much better at running in between the tackles than Brown, who seems to always want to bounce it outside.”
Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer: ”Bryce Brown dropped, I think, three passes. Not good,” McLane wrote.
This battle is clearly not even close to being over, but this regime has no allegiance to Brown or Polk for that matter. They are going to put the player that fits their system best and gives the team the best chance to win. We will keep a close eye on how this all plays out as the Eagles will be a team that the #2 RB may have fantasy value every week if Kelly runs it as much as we project him to.
