Dez Bryant had his breakout game last week against the Ravens D, but left practice early today and hit the injury report as questionable. Never a good sign when a player hits the injury report this late in the week, but it’s not considered serious. Something to keep on eye on Sunday morning. The matchup for the Cowboys offense is muy buen, as outlined by Scouts Inc:
“Although their cornerbacks are decent, the Panthers’ safeties have been a major liability in coverage. Miles Austin is outplaying Dez Bryant overall this year, but that wasn’t the case last week as Bryant and Jason Witten exploded for a combined 19 catches, 13 by Bryant. Bryant was physically dominating against Baltimore, consistently using his big frame and excellent movement skills to give Tony Romo a fine target. Although he has improved drastically of late, Witten has dropped a ton of passes this season. Still, Witten is a rock that Romo leans on in a big way.”
I really like all the Cowboys this week, but Witten could come up big this week against the Panthers safeties. I would play everyone, including Dez if he’s out there.
