En Fuego: Vernon Davis

I just won’t try and dunk anymore Juan…

In 2011, Vernon Davis struggled with the offense until late in the season. Once he got a grasp of what was going on, he started to come on. Then the playoffs rolled around. Davis went freakin’ nuts. He gained a rapport with Alex Smith and showed a great knowledge of the offense against both the Saints and Giants.

I was semi-high on him going into the season, but he has been better than anyone could of expected. Alex Smith has looked great and Davis has reaped the benefits. He now has 8/116/3 on the season and although he is no Dante Rosario Dawson, but he’s been absolutely on fire early in the season and it doesn’t look like there is any reason to think he will slow down.
