Fantasy Impact: Tyler Eifert

I’ll be Dalton’s security blanket Juan…

The Bengals may have had other needs, but they pulled the trigger on Eifert who must have been the highest rated player on their board.  The Bengals had troubles finding another consistent weapon to take the pressure off of stud WR AJ Green.  They now can play more 2 TE sets or Eifert can line up out wide and be utilized a la Aaron Hernandez.  This will be good for both Dalton and Green.

Eifert may not have an instant fantasy impact for your fantasy team, but is someone to keep an eye on for 2014 and beyond.  His biggest impact will be giving Dalton an underneath security blanket as Gresham has been inconsistent with his hands.  If Gresham were to go down, Eifert will obviously get a bump in production and could be a starter in deeper leagues that require a TE.

Fantasy Impact: Tavon Austin
