So first Isaac Redman goes down with a hip injury. Might not be serious, but considering he has never carried the load in his NFL career has me worried. Then came the news today that Rashard Mendenhall came off the PUP which means he can start practicing and the Steelers believe he will be ready to contribute before week 7.
Now, I think I take these ACL injuries more serious than most cats these days…I have heard a couple of expert drafts with Adrian Peterson going in the first round. Seriously? Last time I checked almost zero RBs are the same the next season. I know AP is super-human or whatever, but he is still human. In my opinion, both of these guys have been rushed back and owners may be disappointed.
Sir Isaac Redman WAS a solid choice in fantasy as Mendy was going to start the season on the PUP, but now Mendy is back. Adam Shefter reported that they don’t expect him back in September, so look for him to be in the lineup after their bye week (week 4). Enjoy Redman for his three week run and maybe he surprises as Mendy may struggle with the injury. I wouldn’t go after any Steeler RBs unless the value is much to pass up and I don’t see that happening.
