Well, the good news is Jonathan Stewart thinks his left ankle is now healed, but the bad news is that is right is “still an issue.” Obviously, this is problematic for the Panthers RB and will make the ADP of both D-Willy style and Mike Fat Tolbert go up. Here is what Stewart told the Charlotte Observer:
“It’s real difficult for the fact that you don’t want to be sitting, standing around during training camp watching guys get reps,” Stewart said. “You got to take things from the mental perspective because that’s all you can really do when you’re limited. And just missing out on being part of the team, sometimes you feel left out when you’re not participating.”
Stewart says he will ready for week 1, but I’m not counting on him this season as anything more than a late round flier. He has all the talent, but even when he is one the field, the Panthers don’t give him the rock enough to warrant starting him on most weeks.
