Mike Wallace can fly. He can take the top of a defense and burn defenders at any time. Ryan Tannehill had Brian Hartline as his #1 WR last season, who is much better suited as a #2. Wallace has always been a little inconsistent, but Tannehill is on the rise and the Dolphins are going to find ways to get Wallace the ball, who is more than a one trick pony. Mini Camp has been interesting as the two try and get their chemistry down.
Apparently, Tannehill wanted Wallace to slow down as the burner was flying all around the field…or was he? ‘I am going half speed,’ Wallace responded, according to Tannehill. “Everything I heard about him coming in has proved to be true — he’s as advertised,” Tannehill said. “Fastest guy I’ve ever thrown to. It’s exciting.”
I’m not going nuts with Wallace and will probably pass on him unless the price is right, but I do like Tannehill as a late round QB2 with a ton of upside.
