I was all over rankings Schaub in the 20′s this season. I wanted nothing to do with him for several factors. Not that he’s not talented and that the Texans are not talented, it’s that they may be too talented for Schaub to have something to do in the second half of games. The Texans defense used to suck balls. Now, they could be considered a top 5 unit. There is a lot less shootouts to go around.
This team wants to run their RBs and play tight D. Matt Schaub last week had 266/1 and this week 195/0. This is what I think we can expect in most weeks and if you are expecting him to start dropping 300 yards, 3 TD games again, remember that it’s not 2009. If a team is struggling with Schaub as their starter, than I would put a full court press for a trade and use all this ammunition against them.
