My PPR Expert Draft: Picking From The 12 Spot

You won’t be sorry Juan…

Round By Round Picks 12 Man PPR League

1.  Jimmy Graham

I took Graham this early for a couple of reasons.  First, he is my top ranked TE and we start a TE weekly, which gives me an advantage at the position.  He may not repeat his record 2011 season, but in a PPR league the guy will be a beast.

2.  Marshawn Lynch

Speaking of beasts, I took Beast Mode with my 2nd pick and I did pick Lynch over Jamaal Charles and Adrian Peterson.  I didn’t want someone with an injury issue or someone that will get goaline carries taken away.

3.  Greg Jennings

His concussion issue had him fall in this draft and although I missed out on PPR beast Wes Welker by one pick, I was happy to get the #1 option in Green Bay.  I have a backup plan in case he has relapse.

4.  Marques Colston

Colston is possibly the most underrated WR in fantasy this season.  He missed the first 2 games of 2011 and still had 80/1143/8.  He should have a bigger role in 2012 and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him finish with 90/1200/10 this season.

5.  Kevin Smith

I may have reached for Smith a bit, but he will get first crack at he job in 2012 and the Lions checked down to their RBs all season.  In PPR leagues I would move him up a round over standard.

6.  Peyton Hillis

I went back to back with RBs, because they were running thin.  I really like Hillis as a guy who can catch 60 receptions and score double digit TDs.  A great flex option each week.

7.  Philip Rivers

Rivers has been a target of mine this season, based on the fact that I can get him at the end of the 7th round.  I know the vibes haven’t been great in San Diego, but Gates is healthy and Rivers came one strong in the second half of 2011.

8.  Titus Young

I’m thinking big things for Young this season.  He has been unstoppable in camp and plays in one of the most dynamic offenses in football.  Oh, and a guy named Megatron plays opposite him.  A strong WR3.

9.  Kendall Wright

Wright has showed the ability to separate from defenders and make big plays.  He and Locker already look like they are on the same page, so I’m happy to take the risk with a rookie WR at the end of the 9th.

10. Pierre Thomas

Darren Sproles has been shut down for the entire preseason and although the Saints don’t seem worried about it.  Mark Ingram doesn’t exactly have a clean bill of health.  PT Cruiser has good value in PPR as he is a guy who can’t carry the load, but is a jack of all trades.

11. Danny Amendola

I’m not a big in standard leagues, but 90 plus catches could be in the works in 2012.  He has lit up camp and is “clearly” the #1.  I’m in for PPR leagues.

12. Jake Locker

I love Locker’s upside and wanted to backup Rivers if he goes down the tubes.  I was happy to get him in the later rounds.

13. Randall Cobb

I like Cobb to break out this season and not that I meant to handcuff Greg Jennings, but that’s what happened.  Cobb would be a top 15-20 guy if Jennings goes down.

14. 49ers

Where I picked, I was the first to grab a K/DF and since I don’t care about Kickers I took the #1 DF.

15. Rob Bironas

Kickers are stupid, but Bironas should be better than the 12th best K.

Man Of Interest: Russel Wilson

On The Rise: Greg Olsen
