On The Rise: Greg Olsen

No mas Shockey Juan…

Greg Olsen has been a talented, yet under ultilized TE since he left the U. The Bears couldn’t figure out how to use him right and the Panthers decideed to employ two TEs, instead of feturing Olsen.

This season Shockey is gonesyky and HC  Ron Rivera thinks he could put up numbers similar numbers to Gronk or Graham.  That might be a little too much to aask, but here is what Rivera said:  “This will be his first real opportunity with us to step up and be the starting tight end and be the guy.”  ”You watch him catch footballs and you watch him run routes and you see those trails that say you can fit into that group.  We’re excited about it.”

Jeremy Shockey leaves behind 37 receptions, 455 yards, and 4 TDs.  If Olseen can manage to gather up half of that goodness, we are looking at 64 rec, 725 yards, and 7 TDs.  Easily top 10 numbers that can be had in the late rounds of your draft.  Olsen is movin’ on up.
