Pick Up Artist: Marlon Brown

Marlon Brown wasn’t really on my radar this Summer, but his tremendous preseason performances should of been an indication of things to come.  He was able to finish with 10/169/2 in the fake games and clearly locked up the WR3 position.  The Ravens need him, bad.

Jacoby Jones is out for 4-6 weeks and it looked like they wanted to get Jones involved early and often against the Broncos.  Now, Marlon Brown will step up and play an increased role.  Ed Dickson can’t catch a cold and Dallas Clark is an instant away from a catastrophic injury.  Brown can run and he’s 6’5, but he’s built like a Olsen twin, so he looks like an orange on a toothpick out there.  There will be targets.  There will be fantasy production.  Don’t go nuts, but Brown is a worthy add for a WR4-WR5 on your fantasy squad.  He could keep the job even when Jones returns, as Jones has never been much more than a glorified kick returner/occasional deep threat.
