Of course if you follow the Juan Man’s Draft Plan, you are not taking anything but a kicker and defense with the last 2 picks of your draft. So, these players are guys that will be filling in at the end of your bench, but could play a part in you fantasy team this season. Here is a Juan’s guys that make the Senior Irrelevant for 2013:
Hey, you know who has NEVER played a full NFL season? Yeah, that guy named after one of the best Rap Groups of all time. I doubt he finds some magic pill that keeps him out of the trainer’s room this season. Rashad Jennings pretty much sucks and Reece showed he can take on the full time role when he filled in last season. He actually scored more fantasy points per game as a starter than DMC. Great late round grab.
The 49ers really need a WR that can stretch the field and Patton has that look. His dance moves are not quite on par with Jacoby Jones, but he and Kaepernick have showed instant chemistry. Patton could end up a very nice WR4 with upside and is well worth taking a shot on late in your draft.
Helu is more than capable of taking over the duties as the full time starter if anything goes wrong with Alfred Morris. Helu is a very good receiver and will be involved either way. If he was to get thrusted into the starting lineup due to injury, he could be a top 20 RB.
I know I have probably said this for 2 or 3 straight years, but Frank Gore could finally break down. Hunter is coming off a Achilles tear, but apparently the tear was minor and he is 100% coming into the season. If you have seen him run in the preseason, you know he’s back. The clear handcuff to Gore and that is worth a spot on your bench.
I predicted in my Bold Predictions post that Wheaton will find his way into the starting lineup sometime before week 8. Wheaton is very similar to Mike Wallace, but could be even better. If he can earn the playing time, Wheaton will prove to be a valuable part of your fantasy team. His breakout season may have to wait till 2014.
Looking for a late round flier at TE? Look no further than Julius Thomas. In his third season, JT is looking like a guy who is ready to break out. Not hard to imagine when Peyton Manning is your QB. His blocking has vastly improved and we already know he a a physical freak.
Todman has been impressive this preseason and we all know the history of injuries that MJD has. MJD is in a contract year and if he doesn’t deliver, the Jags could be ready to move on with Todman. His chance could be as early as this season, so he is worth a late round shot. Definitely a dynasty target.
Roberts has been moved around the formation this preseason and will be a valuable part of the Cardinals passing attack. Remember that Roberts had more fantasy points than Larry Fitzgerald last season and could be a nice little PPR asset for your squad.
