The Falcons had one real weak spot on the offense last season. Michael Turner and the running game that couldn’t consistently get going even with the passing game opening up big holes. The Falcons have stated repeatedly that they believe Jacquizz Rodgers can be an every down back, but from I have seen, I find that hard to believe. He’s just not special in any way.
Steven Jackson will most likely opt out of his contract with the Rams according to multiple sources and the Falcons as a landing spot is the big rumor on the block. I think there are a handful of teams that would be interested in Jackson’s services. Now, this is all speculation, but if Jax lands in Atlanta he could prove to be a nice RB2 this season. He has mileage, but also has shown that he can handle a big workload and is a 10x better receiver than Turner. Can’t wait for free agency to start.
