Every year a group of players really improve their stock with impressing teams during Senior Bowl week. Tyler Wilson is one QB that has taken advantage of the opportunity and should see himself moving up draft boards.
Mike Mayock: “We talked a little bit about Tyler Wilson’s senior year, which was difficult, versus his junior year, which was superlative,” Mayock said. “I think what we’re seeing right now is that, given the opportunity to come out here with all that baggage gone, I think he’s taken advantage of it. I think he’s looked real good. … Wilson’s a guy I’ve heard a lot about this week at night from the coaches and scouts. Because he had such mixed reviews coming off the tough senior season. Came down here, spun it pretty effectively.”
Bills GM Buddy Nix: “My thinking was he got kind of beat up during the year,” said Nix. “They didn’t have great protection for him, he took a lot of licks. From watching him at the school his arm wasn’t that strong. But the two days I’ve watched him (at the Senior Bowl), he’s got a live arm. He’s got plenty of arm.”
