Week 2 Tight End Ride ‘Em or Hide ‘Em

Juan’s Tight With

Jordan Cameron @ Bal

Cameron showed last week why I liked himself so much this preseason with huge game vs the Dolphins.  This week he gets the same team that Julius Thomas owned.  I see the Ravens shutting down the Browns, but Cameron is the only thing Weeden has in the passing game…till next week.

Ride ‘Em

Julius Thomas @ NYG

Orange Julius (I know it’s getting old) welcomed himself to the fantasy world (I told you weeks ago) and did more than I ever expected him too.  The Giants allowed Jason Witten to catch 2 TDs last week as they diverted all their attention to Dez.  Now they will make the same mistake with Demaryius.

Jermichael Finley vs Was

I’m not the biggest Finley fan and he will make a boneheaded play at least once a game, but he is a physical mismatch for every defense the Pack faces.  McCarthy knows it and is the reason he puts up with the mistakes.  Finley can make a play at any time and I see him making one at home this week.

Hide ‘Em

Dallas Clark vs Cle

Clark was targeted a ton and caught a ton last week, but he will be hard to trust week to week.  Unless you are in a super deep league and need a TE this week, I would pass.

Jermaine Gresham vs Pit

Gresham is more likely to be the guy who stays in and blocks, while Eifert is now the move TE in the offense.  Gresham finished with only 67 yards in 2 games last season and that’s when he was the only show in town.

Sleepers

Brandon Myers vs Den

Myers was the garbage king once again last week as he caught a late TD against the Cowboys.  We could see deja vu again this week.  We could see deja vu again this week.

Brent Celek vs SD

I liked Celek coming into the season as he stepped it up in the last weeks of the preseason.  He looked good in the limited targets he received as he finished with 56 yards and a TD.  This offense used the TE and Celek could see some action against a Charger team that just allowed 3 TE TDs last week.

Kellen Winslow @ NE

Winslow rose from the fantasy grave with 7/79/1.  Geno doesn’t have much more to throw to and if you are in a deeper league, Winslow is worth a look.

Busts

Antonio Gates @ Phi

The Eagles new 3-4 D shut down Fred Davis last week and they believe they have the scheme to slow down TEs.  I would look elsewhere if you have an alternative this week.

Kyle Rudolph @ Chi

Rudolph’s value is completely tied to TDs.  That’s not a game I want to play.  I benching Rudolph for someone that I know will get utilized in the passing game and who’s QB is not named Christian Ponder.

Quarterbacks

Running Backs

Wide Receivers
