Week 3 Ride ‘Em Or Hide ‘Em RBs
You don’t need me to tell you to start Arian Foster, Ray Rice, or LeSean McCoy…my mom could figure that out. Let’s look at some other matchups that could be favorable this week:
Juan’s Running The Rock With
MJD @ Ind
Mojo is a beast on the field and is the heartbeat of his team. The entire Jaguar offense is ran through him, and defenses’ still can not stop him. He has a lip smacking matchup this week going up against the colts. Mojo is gonna give your fantasy team a large boost this week, so ride him like it’s hot!
Michael Bush vs StL
Michael Bush has the skills to be a RB1, and with Matt Forte out with an injury, Bush is in for a great game this week. You have to love his matchup against the rams, who were 29th against the run last year. He is gonna get the full work load and will put up very strong numbers for your fantasy team this week.
Ryan Mathews vs Atl
Mathews makes his return to the field after breaking his collar bone on his 1st carry during a preseason game. Over the first 2 weeks the Falcons have allowed 251 yards and 3 TDs. I expect Mathews to come out in a big way after being devastated by his injury.
Darren Sproles vs KC
Sproles has such a large skill set that makes him extremely versatile and extremely dangerous to opposing teams. Brees is going to throw the ball upwards of 50 times, and you better believe Sproles is going to get his share of the pie.
Pierre Thomas vs KC
Thomas has had a much better than expected start to his 2012 season. He is a strong runner and can break holes through the defense unlike Sproles. He too has a great set of hands, and like I said before, Brees does nothing but throw. The Chiefs have been terrible against the run and the pass, making him a strong PPR play in all leagues.
Peyton Hillis @ NO
The Saints have allowed running backs to rush for 234 yards and a crushing 4 TDs in their first 2 weeks. Hillis has the ability to be a bulldog who can hit the holes with power, breaking multiple tackles as he drives his way into the end zone. He hasn’t had a great 2012 showing, but against the saints, almost any player is a potential strong sleeper.
Andre Brown @ Car
Ahmad Bradshaw is out with an injury, and Andre Brown is in getting the bulk of the work in Thurday nights game. In his week 2 debut, Brown toted the rock 13 times racking up 71 yards & 1 TD.
Mikel Leshoure @ Ten
Leshoure makes his way back for his 2012 debut and it’s against the terrible titans. Detroit is looking for a back to come in and solidify their role as the feature back.
Chris Johnson vs Det
I really did believe Johnson would pick up right where he left off last season…especially with getting in a full camp and preseason. In 2 games Johnson has managed 21 rushing yards total…excuse me while I go throw up. I took him in the 1st round in one of my leagues, and he is sitting firmly on my bench until he proves me otherwise.
Michael Turner @ SD
On a team that has quickly become a pass first offense and his backup Jaquizz Rodgers is taking on a larger role. These add up to low fantasy production from Turner.
Shonn Greene @ Mia
The Dolphins have looked good against the run allowing only 101 yards over the past 2 weeks.
Darren McFadden vs Pit
McFadden has everything it takes to be the #1 back in the league, but he’s not showing it. He has looked less than stellar, combined with the fact that the Steelers have only allowed 159 yards rushing and 1 TD this year.
Adrian Peterson vs SF
Peterson had an extremely strong opener, and an equally terrible week 2 encore. San Francisco is 2nd this year in defending the run, allowing only 1 rushing TD all of last year.
