Week 5 TE Ride ‘Em or Hide ‘Em

Juan’s Tight With

Antonio Gates @ Oak

Gates has been on fire and there is no reason to think the Raiders are going to slow him down.  He is a top 2-3 option this week.

Ride ‘Em

Vernon Davis vs Texans

The Texans have been tough on TEs…sure guys like Dallas Clark and the Seahawks characters.  Gates was held to 49 yards in week one, but he was one slip from scoring a long TD.  If Davis is healthy, he is the best receiving option on the 49ers, by far.

Martellus Bennett vs Saints

The Saints have faced two TEs worth mentioning: Tony G and Clay.  Both scored TDs.  Don’t worry about the numbers, worry about who they have faced.  They other TEs they have faced hardly have a pulse.

Hide ‘Em

Brandon Myers vs Eagles

The Giants need Myers to stay in and block, which is not something he is remotely good at.  But, their offensive line is BAD, so it hurts Myers’ chances of producing.

Rob Housler vs Panthers

Housler has a ton of athletic ability, but we haven’t seen it translate on the field.  They haven’t faced anyone great, but the Panthers are only giving up 2.7 FFP per game to opposing TEs.  Find someone else.

Sleepers

Dallas Clark @ Dolphins

The Dolphins have allowed a TE to score in every game this season.  Clark has a shot this week as a deep sleeper.

Charles Clay vs Ravens

The Ravens are still struggling with TEs and although Chandler didn’t have a huge game last week against them, he was running wide open to the endzone when he slipped and missed a TD opportunity.  Clay has been so solid and is a nice top 12 option this week.

Busts

Scott Chandler @ Browns

The Browns D is vastly underrated and they haven’t allowed a TD or 60 yards to any TE this season.  This includes Clay, Rudolph, and the Bengal boys.

Quarterbacks

Running Backs

Wide Receivers
