Week 7 Recap WRs

I’m living up to the hype Juan…

Recapping WRs

Vincent Jackson

One thing about V-Jax in the past has been his inconsistency.  It looked like he was going that route this season also, until the 3 weeks where he has gone nuts with 17/382/4.  With the Bucs having several layups through their remaining schedule, Jackson could continue to put up big numbers.

Randall Cobb

Cobb is the Packers version of Harvin, not Sproles.  Love the way this guy plays.  The Jennings injury has opened the door for James Jones ans Randall Cobb, but today it was all about Cobb.  Jones pulled what could be considered a disappearing act again after catching 6 TDs in 3 games.  I think he will be no bueno once Jennings is 100%.  Cobb on the other hand, has found himself a role in the offense.  In his last 4 games he has 26/339/3 as his role continues to grow.  Love him going forward.

Andre Johnson

Andre Johnson is no longer a deep threat.  Andre Johnson is no longer a red zone target.  What he is though is PPR gold the last couple of weeks.  17/161 is what he has compiled over the last 2 games and has plenty of cupcakes on the schedule to get you a ton of fake points over the second half of the season.   If I was in a standard scoring league, I would be looking to trade high, if I was in a PPR league, I would be looking to hold tight.  I have heard straight from the Texans insider’s mouth that the red zone targets go Arian, Daniels, Casey, and then AJ.  Might not make much sense, but it is what it is.

Josh Gordon

In his last 3 games, Gordon has 7 receptions and 4 of them have gone for TDs.  This rate cannot continue.  He actually dropped another pass that would have been a TD.  He did get 10 targets which is encouraging, but he needs to start stringing together multiple games where a TD isn’t his only means for scoring.

Chris Givens

Givens is another guy that isn’t really getting a ton of targets, but is making the most of them.  In his last 4 outings he has 1/52, 1/51/1, 3/85, and 3/73.  He is worth watching, but until we see him getting consistent targets and producing consistent stats, Ill pass.

Santana Moss

Moss caught 2 TDs today and looked like he was finally getting used to his role as a slot WR.  With Garcon sidelined and Fred Davis out for the season, he could get more and more looks.  I keep waiting for Leonard Hankerson to get it going, but he hasn’t put it together yet.  Both are worth adding/owning as RG3 needs dudes to catch passes.
